Conference Goals:

  • To explore some of the specific opportunities for women in math-and-science related fields
  • To provide students an opportunity to meet and form personal contacts with women working in traditionally male math/science occupations
  • To foster awareness of the qualifications necessary for careers in math/science fields

Listening to a Dog's Heartbeat

The day is devoted to hands-on and career workshops led by professional women and graduate students in math, science, engineering, and medicine. Students explore their areas of interest in three morning sessions. Parents and interested adults are invited to participate in a three-part program that explores high school course planning, college entrance requirements for California (CC, UC, CSU and private colleges) and financial aid programs.
